Default ECU error codes

Ive just done an ecu diagnostic (connect the 2 green connectors under the dash) on my 1999 STi V (down pipe back de-cat system, dump valve, pannel filter). it came up with 22 (knock sensor), 23 (MAF ) and 24 (Idle air control solenoid). Strange thing is the car seems to run fine, not lumpy or anything!, admittidly ive only had the car for a week and its my first scoob so not 100% sure what to look out for.

While driving today the CEL flickered on for a minute then went out, i was going down a hill in 5th, feet off everything doing approx 40mph. so i got home and decided to check for fault codes. The car idles fine (sticks to approx 650-700rpm when warm), on the odd occasion when accelerating it boosts to only 0.5bar but then if i lift off then put my foot down again it boosts fully to approx 1bar, most of the time it boosts fine though.

Its got a knocklink fitted and only once has it managed to light up the second green led, theres also a lambda link but im not sure if its working correctly, sometimes theres no lights apart from the power indicator, then other times it gets the odd flicker of leds, irrispective how the car is being driven at the time.

Its always run on optimax and today for the first time i emptied a full bottle of millers octane plus into it just before i filled up, after that is when i got the CEL and im sure the 0.5bar boost problem has been happening more frequently since, but im probably now just getting paranoid.

Im hopefully booking it into a scooby specialist or dealer next weekend for a full service and these problems fixed, any advise on what else i should do/look out for and recommendations for garages in the s.yorkshire/n.e.lincs area??

cheers

Hi,
Those codes you have read are stored up from the last time the ECU was reset, which could of been months as you say you have just bought the car.

I would say reset the ECU and then drive again for a few days and then see if any codes are recorded.
If there is a problem then the sensor will record the fault after the reset.

If you want a garage, then Scoobyclinic in Chesterfield area is worth a call.

Nice one.
No might not be cheap (what is?), but you will get a quality job and advice you can rely upon.
