Default any ideas on a recon engine for sti4 type r

hi all wondering if some of you could help me source a re-con short block for my freinds sti4 type-r?

I see that importcarparts.co.uk do one for £900+vat have any of you purchased one from them, and also not sure if this will be compatible as it is just listed as for an impreza turbo and it will be going in to an sti type-r

I would say at that price you've been quoted is for a UK Turbo not STi.

Maybe a short engine from an STi8 would do the job? Give powerstation a call.

The engine on importcarparts.co.uk is for a standard turbo. The sti engines start at £1800 and go upwards, a complete one with them is £2350 + vat
