Default Need a little help with ebc settings

Hi all, ive had a greddy profec-b spec II fitted for a few months now and still havent managed to figure out what exactly the start boost/setgain setting does. Ive got my boost set to where i want it using the setpoint and gain settings and i have nice stable boost with no spikes. Apparently the startboost/setgain controls how the turbo spools up but I cant quite get my head round it, can someone explain in simple terms how this setting effects how the turbo kicks in. Thanks

Just found this on another forum , maybe it can help someone explain how the setting works.

START BOOST (also known as SET GAIN because that is what is displayed on the unit when adjusting this setting) is the lowest boost that the Greddy unit will begin increasing the boost from under WOT. You want this to be as close to the SET value as possible, since you want to keep as close to your desired boost as possible. However, setting it too close to the SET value will cause the boost to spike.
