so ive got a version 2 sti and its got a u8 ecu ,i no its the wrong one,and it putting out 0.8 bar

if i buy a z4 ecu will that give me more boost pressure

Assuming your car is pre '97 and hsa the td05 (which I think is the case) - you could fit a ScoobyECU and run about 1.1 bar of boost.

I might just have one lying around (cough cough)... :-)
