Default K&N

My son has just fitted a K&N induction kit on his car - Presumably the filter will need re-oiling at some point what sort of interval /mileage? does it need doing please?

I'm pretty sure they are good for 50,000 miles before requiring cleaning?

That said, they seem to dry out a bit, so I cleaned mine after a couple of years (only did about 5K a year in that car)

A fair point - I reoiled the cone for a 306 - and left it to drip through over night - then took off any excess with kitchen roll... Seems OK at the moment (tempting fate....).
