Angry EMISSIONS

just took car for mot and failed on emissions the reason for this is that the **** who had it before me de-cated it but just cut the sensor in the downpipe i fitted a resistor to the sensor but emissions are still high its a sti import 96
any suggestions??

You wont pass without a Cat. try borrow one for the test.

Have the middle cat but need the cat in the downpipe with the sensor as mine has been cut off when the full decat was fitted.

i also have just failed emissions due to no down pipe cat it failed on CO it should have been 0.30 and was reading 0.80 at 3000rpm and on idle stayed about the same

Thats what happens when you foooook with them!!

Mind you, thats a bit naughty selling a car with the Lambda Lead cut - surely there was a CEL?

Did you buy it with a FULL MOT? If so, then the MOT Testing Station could be sued ...
