Default K&N - how much oil

I have recently re-oiled my K&N induction cone. Something which threw me a bit, was that they provided equal amounts of cleaner and oil.

I used about 3/4 of the cleaning solution to get the filter nice and clean, then proceeded to put about 100ml of the oil onto the filter. This was way too much and ended up washing it off using the rest of the cleaning solution. I carefully re-applied the oil using a small syringe and discovered it only took about 35ml to lightly oil the whole filter.

Can anyone confirm if I have skimped a bit on the oil - should I reapply another light coating?

TT

I wouldn't risk cleaning and re oiling a K&N. Just get a new one IMO. They last longer than the OE so works out the same?
