Default Trolley jack head to suit Scoob jacking points ?

In Halfords at the moment there are some cheap hydraulic trolley jacks which come in a toolbox, plus an electric inflator and a digital pressure gauge. This is marked as 29.99 but scanned as 19.99, so I bought one....

However, the head on the jack is a castellated cup suitable for pointy support points. To use it for wheel rotation it would be much better if it fitted the normal sill jacking points, but those have a pinch weld seam where the normal jack slots over it.

I know that there are adapters to allow a trolley jack to fit onto the pinch weld nicely, but anyone know where I can get one in the UK ?

Here's a US one:

Hi mate, I've used a piece of hard wood with a routed 'slot' similar to the adaptor in the US link. Works very well and being wood dosen't cause any damage to the underside of the car.

Cheap and easy if you have access to a router. Just make sure the grain of the wood runs across the block, if you see what I mean..?

Thanks, I'll give that a try, I've got plenty of bits of wood to experiment on...

yeah, I was thinking the very same myself. I've just been trying to Jack up my second motor and the Haynes manual refers to 'axle stand adapters' which fit around the sills to prevent damaging them. I'll be damned it I can find them on the net anywhere!
