Default Dumpvalve?

Fitted my aftermarket Bailey dumpvalve 2day inorder to reduce the turbo stall at mid revs changes, n it works perfectly. But it now causes pops from the exhaust on sum gear changes? is this normal? N could it be a problem?

Perfectly normal if its a vent to atmosphere dv, its just unburnt fuel as your car will be overfuelling slightly, and this is going into the exhaust. If you havent got the cats on you will probably be getting flames as well!!!

Wow.

Has it made a noticeable improvement to performance?

Contary to popular belief, dump valves dont increase performance, in fact apart from making the car slightly more un economical, there is a slight possibility that turbo response could suffer slightly as well as all of the air has been dumped out and is no longer recirclating thus keeping the turbo from spinning.

On the plus side though they do sound good !
