Examples of Stock & Uprated injectors duty cycles % with poll
I have stock 440's.
Interested to see @ what point you would move to 550, 740 & 850...
Would a 400bhp road car make use of the 850's ? or is that the territory of the big boys...? No much in terms of cost difference really so...
No point in moving to 550's if they will get maxed when I get a remap..
Could anyone supply examples of duty cycles @ various states of tune, would be of interest to others I'm sure.
Lastly, what is the optimum cycle for an injector to sit @ ?

I'm not an expert, but 750 & 850 cc/min injectors are for high power beasts.
I think the rough calc goes :
inj size x 4 / 5.5 = bhp they will fuel.
multiply with duty cycle for realistic safe power.
Around 80 - 85 % duty is a good ceiling for the injectors to prevent sticking or something. Fuel pressure affects fuelling too.
550's on above calc would be at 100% duty at 400 bhp. So about 340 hp at 85% duty.
Close, I get 360 bhp on my 550's at 82% duty!
