SB ecu in 95 STI RA?
is the SB the right ECU for a 95 STI RA? For some reason I thought it was a different one?
Any help appreciated and how much is it worth before I throw it in the bin?

just taken the bad boy apart and should that chip in the bottom right be there as standard? i thought that was an empty port? and is this why my engine detted its way to the great squasher in the sky?
and yes, i used a rasp, mole grips and pointy nosed pliers to get in it!!!
sorry for all the questions!

Yep, completely standard.
The SB ECU with chip is correct for a STi RA (despite what was written/said by Steve Simpson in Jap Performance mag last month).
The STi 2 RA has a 7K without chip.
The STi RA has the chip as it was put together 'off-line' by STi. Whereas the STi 2 was put together on the Production line with the rest of the WRX's.
If running standard boost it should be OK (I've driven one hard with a Knocklink and seen little activity), but the SB does run leaner then the 7K at high rpm/load
