My car is down on the log book as a GL for some reason.

I am waiting on an insurance claim from my insurance company but they are only offering me payment on a GL and not a WRX.

Can someone point me in the direction of a website which lists both GL and WRX engine and chassis numbers so I can prove the car is a WRX

I think I need to explain my problem a bit better so hopefully someone can help before I loose a fortune

I don't have the car here any more to check the vin plate as it has been taken away by the salvage yard. I am currently looking at the V5

On the V5 it has:

Vin/Chassis/Frame No. GL800589*
Engine Number EJ2089* the * is a number but didnt want to give out the full engine number.

On the MOT it has GC8A48D which tells me it is a 93 4 door WRX but there is no mention of this on the V5.

I bought another WRX same year a few months ago and am looking at the V5 for this, there is no mention of the GC8A48D number on that either ?

For the VIN/Chassis/Frame No. it has GC800902* and the engine number is unknown.

Could it be that DVLA have mucked up when registering the car and put GL instead of GC ?

My stiV is listed as being a GL, yes they do make mistakes
