Question wastegate actuator question

What does the following do ?

"Tension up the wastegate actuator a few turns"

if it's a good thing, Can I do it to a MY05 STI PPP ?

What effect will it have and will I notice it ?

Will it be noticed as services and will it do any harm ?

I could be wrong, but I think this might be for older models whose actuators have gone a bit soft over the years and need tightening back to original position

Not relevant to a MY05 STI PPP then I take it. Thought it may have been a free way of getting a bit more boost.

The benefit is that you get more boost sooner as the actuator stays closed/near to closed longer.
Pretty well relevant to all turbo cars.
If you overdo it then you can create overboost as the wastegate doesnt open in time.
I did my MY99 and adjusted (shortened) rod by 5mm as for STi 8 not sure but probably something similar.

Not possible on the VF Turbo actuator. AFAIK only the TD04/05's have adjustment.
