Question Hesitation on Classics

Read about this on here a few times, and ive experienced it in a couple of scoobs. Especially just before the turbo comes online.

What causes it and can it be sorted.

Mention MAF sensors and i will personally hunt you down.

Mines doing it too and im gettin pretty p*ssed off with it to be honest. First thing i do is run the ole diagnostic error codes messaging service, which hasnt failed to throw a new error code pretty much every p*xy time.

After installing a new knocklink sensor, ive got the MAF and engine coolant sensor left to go.

oh and a new thermostat just for good measure.

Im spending more time under the bonnet than actually in the drivers seat!

I really dont want to but its getting to that stage where its bye bye scooby.

one thing after another

cheers for listening my name is swift goodnight!

No i dont have a VTA Gay Valve

The car has recently had new plugs and a new MAF which cured a misfire it had. The car definatly isnt misfiring anymore and after 3k it pulls very smoothly.

Ive just filled up and put in ob, i doubt this will have any effect but seen as though i had a bottle i thought id try!

Hesitation when coming on boost is normally associated with either the plugs or the coilpacks - when removing the plugs check under the rubber shrouds at the end of the coilpack, if there are any cracks it is likely to breakdown under boost conditions as they become brittle over time. Normally this becomes apparent when they are disturbed for plug changing
