Question OCTANE BOOST ???

Does anyone out there know anything about the octane boost device advertised by " Formula Power" in some of the tuning magazines. Seems a bit like turning water to wine but could be the answer to my Type-R's prayers because living in Guernsey I can't get optimax !! Any insight anyone?

I am running my STI 8 on Guernsey finest Shell super unleaded.

Used to run an OB, but was advised against it by engine tuner for everyday use.

Unless the car hasnt been remapped for uk fuel.

Was that a device or a bottle of some additive ?

The devices seem a bit , erm, vague in their performance!

It should be ok on the Shell 98.6Ron

If it was a standard sti5 I would be more comfortable using something like Millewrs booster - 1 bottle is circa £3 - put in a bottle every couple of tanks worth

On my sti5 its mapped for a full bottle of NF (CIRCA £12) every fill up - but I need it - gives me about an extra 40bhp
