Will I need to REST the ECU?
Hi
Been months now, but am getting near to actually replacing the head gaskets.
In preparation for engine going back in , .. I remember when the car packed in , .. the check engine light went on , and the thing performed terribly.
I've heard there is a "Limp Home "mode.
I wonder, could mine have gone into that mode ?
If so .. will I need to somehow reset (remap?) the ECU when I want to power up again ?
Thanks - Mark

Depends how tired the ECU is, if you need to REST it.
( See title )
Yeah, reset ECU when ready to roll, but if battery been off for a few hours or more then it will be done already, and cleared error codes.
