Default standard intercooler weldable?

as the header suggests, i would like to know is the standard scooby intercooler (sti8) weldable, im not sure as it looks like an alloy.
Reason is i got it for my classic and need to grind off and put on a plate then tap the dump valve hole closer to the side so i have room. or try and make enough room and make brackets to compensate move. Thanks Paul.

Like ticky says you can weld alloy with tig or mig but tig makes a better job but depends on how good welder who is doing it
