Default Knocklink results??

I have just fitted a Knocklink sensor underneath the intercooler.

I have mounted the sensor using the bolt that holds the metal bracket to the top of the block that the clutch spring connects to.

Just wanted to know if this location is OK, because I am getting some strange results whilst driving.

1 - Revving the engine at standstill amber/red lights over 5K
2 - Off boost whilst driving amber/red over 5K
3 - Full boost 1.1bar occasional ambers throughout revs range and any gear.
4 - The odd red light in 5th using WOT over 4K

Should the above be happening? (especially 1 and 2)

Is there a better mounting point for the sensor?

Any feedback/help would be great.

Specs - MY95, Full Decat, Remapped to 1.1bar & 97RON, Slanty I/C, K&N filter and NGK 7`s, running on Esso Supreme will OB sometimes.

Thanks
Paul

Paul, see here for fitment http://stefanostadal.homedns.org/car_mods_gauges.htm

If your knocklink is functioning correctly then it sounds like your car is detting badly IMO. What ECU are you using?

I have fitted mine to the bracket above that in the pic. (where the spring is)

My ecu is a Z4, The have been driving the car for about 8 months with the chip installed, so if it was detting that badly would it not have gone bang by now?

This is why I`m unsure by the knocklink results.

I would refit the sensor to the correct position flush to the casing, Do you know anyone who has a set of detcans that can help to confirm whether its detting or not?
