Hi, I need some help with tuning this... What I'm looking for are bolt on upgrades from within the Subaru range or off the shelf products such as manifolds, carbs etc.

Any help, recommendations, links would be gratefully received as I'm drawing a blank at the moment and I don't read Japanese!

It's front wheel drive, 1600, coil front suspension and torsion bar rear...

Oh and it's only done 25K and is pretty solid apart from the odd bad area

I so very nearly bought this, an absolute bargain but i thought i might have trouble getting hold of bits....

I will love to see how you get on and if it proves too much hassle for you then i might be tempted into taking it off your hands.

I know what you mean, but I'm not so strong. I figured there must be some Aussie tuner that did some work on the earlier stuff as fitted into the Brat's etc. So for the moment it's staying put, it's also being featured in the new mag Jtuner, so I've got to do something good with it!

I was planning to lower it on slot mag alloys keep the body as new and probably put bigger carbs on, I also looked into engine transplants the old legacy turbo engine the one before the Ej20 engine would probably go in with little problems. I found some info on older subarus on an american impreza forum but nothing on this rare beasty.

I bought it from the guy who won it on Ebay, he just didn't really want it and had too many other commitments (read cars).
It certainly is a cheeky one though, feeling the slot mags but the 4x140mm PCD kind of sh*ts on that unless I get lucky. Looks like I'll have to get some contemporary wheels sorted (minilites, compomotive etc)....

I'll post it up if I find anything to do to it...
