HI, have bought a 96 sti v2 fresh jap import have used optimax and 0ctane boost but when i really give it some it splutters when revs are high

if driven normally it will boost at around 4000rpm, and will run fine through boost, but if i give it some problem occurs at around 5000 rpm+ anyone alse had this problem.

You will need to check you coil leads and your spark plugs. As these are common things that go and your symptoms suggest it maybe one of these. on the off chance thats it is something simple, check that all the pipes are nice and tight.

 

agree with banny, check all pipes but most probably in need of coil packs (if it has them/or leads?) and get some new plugs. most will recomend NGkpfr7bs, work a treat.
