Oil smoke from under turbo heatshield
Had a thread on here about a week ago due to oil smoke - diagnosed as rocker cover gasket. Fixed that today and it's oil tight....however, after coming up to full heat there appears to be a lot of oil smoke coming from under the turbo heatshield.
Imreza newbie so no expert knowledge! Does the turbo have an oil feed that can leak or is there something esle down there that has gone?

There is possibly oil residue still around the up-pipe/headers which could take a while to burn off. After my rocker cover leak, I wiped a lot of oil away from the body of the car (cross member?) where the up-pipe passes through, if I hadn't done this it would probably still be smoking now! Not sure how easy it is to clean up this area with standard headers/up-pipe (heatshields etc, which oil could have gathered in).
Could always be a seperate oil leak (turbo) as mentioned above?

So far this Forum has been excellent! Thxs!
So, rocker cover gasket looks fine now, jet washed all the surrounding area......when warming the car in the workshop no smoke - 2 min blast down the lane and I return to smoke that seems to be coming from around the bolt/nut that holds the turbo onto the manifold (far left when looking from front)....no obvious leak. Any ideas?
Also - does anyone know of a Scooby expert in Worcestershire, Herefordshire or Shropshire?
