I have just fitted a second hand baileys dump valve to my 1995 wrx and noticed that when i change gear instead of the typical dump valve deep tssssh noise!! its a high pitched sound!, are all baileys dump valves like this?? i have had a piston dump valve on a previous wrx made by forge motorsport and it sounded a lot louder with the usual dump valve noise, i know it sounds petty but its annoying me anyone any advise please.

Yep, mine does that too. Ive got a MY00. Its more of a high pitch chirp/tinny noise. Still sounds good but just not as loud as the rest.

thanks for the quick response, my minds at rest now i thought the baileys dump valve might be fooked !
