Which Gearbox oil ?? 96 Scooby

Default Which Gearbox oil ?? 96 Scooby

Hi peps

I have no owners manual so i was wondering what gearbox oil is recommened for a 96 scooby turbo ??

dipstick is on the min, and i fancy changing it as i have no idea how long its been in there

75w-90, fully synthetic is best.

Castrol Syntrax works wonders in them. I wouldnt bother with Synthetics, as a lot will find you crunching gears.

And AFAIK early boxes were 3.5ltrs, but most will be 4ltrs.

Gotta say since ive changed the oil

the gearbox is real smooth, slightly over filled it just above max mark

all happy driving from here, just need some new brakes
