my99 impreza turbo - standard UK spec apart from exhaust and panel filter, has now started to cut out at idle, hot or cold, particularly bad if your coming out of hyperspace approaching a roundabout or suchlike, reach a halt, then look like a trainspotter as you stall the thing.
The plugs were changed about 12k miles ago, fitted the proper NGK's.
Air filter is clean. any ideas appreciated, apart from the cutting out the car drives well.

 

That l be the lambda sensor i would say or maf sensor
I had a simlar problem ,changed the lambda sensor everything has been ok since
On tick over disconect the maf sensor if the engine cuts out then its not th e maf.

 

disconnected MAF and engine cut out, so looks like I need a Lambda sensor.
Anyone know how mauch from subaru, can I get one anywhere else?
Cars not cutting out as much now, but really hunting at idle.

 

Mate paid about £100 fitted at Subaru.
