Default Extension for FC Commander

Can you get the above lead so that I dont have to lift the carpet if I want to connect the commander?

The alternative is to cut the cable itself and fit a couple of din connectors to the ends.

Any help would be good.

Wayne.

My commander is always plugged in. I ran the cable behind the glovebox so that I could have the commander out or tucked into the glovebox. I might have some pics somewhere.

Very good ideas guys, but I have an alternative to having the commander on display.

I want a port on the dash that I can plug into as and when I need to. Possibly for datalogit at some stage in the future.

I'm also thinking about splitting the screen of the commander from the main circuit board and creating a din e size display.

Looking through CPC's catalogue it looks like I need a 6 pin din plug with 1 of the pins removed. The 5 pin type have the connections in the wrong place.

nice idea, and although fine for 99% of the time, wouldnt it be a hinderance should anyone else need to use the commander at all, while you drive?
had to have mapping done recently via the commander and needed the flexibility to move it about, same for wbo2

Just had it mapped by Andy F so no more mapping for the time being. When/if I decide to change things I would only consider altering what Andy has done after saving the map out via datalogit. So I'm not too worried about being able to use the commander, its really for altering settings quickly should optimax not be available etc, and for monitoring.

Not sure how I will make the switch between a permenantly wired commander to be able to plug in the datalogit. I will have a think........

Thanks for your thoughts though.
