Default VF23 to VF22

Pondering on turbo options...

Anyone know if a VF22 compressor housing will fit directly onto a VF23 - or would I need to change any other components ie compressor wheel for one....

houseing will fit, the wheel is also bigger

the vf22 wheel seams a bit more fragile then the vf23 version IMO

i have went from
vf22, to td04, (vf22 wheel shatterd)
tdo4 to vf24
vf24 back to td04 (vf24 wheel shatterd at 1.45bar )
tdo4 to vf23 (second hand vf28 core and wheel with original vf22 p20 hotside, plus the vf24 compressor cover i think? = vf23 this was not ballanced or anything and has ran 1.4bar for about 15k miles now)

Nightmare - yeah I heard about the VF22 comp wheel being a little on the weak side - TBH honest I've heard similar of the VF23 over 1.3 bar tho - thing is can the VF23 comp wheel be used in the VF22 housing?

well it will fit
but im not sure you will get worthwhile results as the wheel will be smaller then the entrance hole by quite a bit?

i have heard you can get uprated vf22 wheels from the states for £80
but when i actually wanted to buy one, the supplier started telling me he was not sure if he could still get them

so i deducted that he was full of cacky

Ahh - good point! Lack of compressor housing availablility also being something of a problem ATM.

Shame about the compressor wheel dude - that would have been damn useful!
