Lightweight MY99/00
Hello all
I am playing with the thought to build a Subaru for racing purposes. So I am looking for ideas and information on how to get the car VERY light.
It would be a great help for me to get pictures of lightweight Subaru modifications and lightweight cars.
What is the lightest MY99/00 ever built? Are there pictures of these cars? How heavy are your cars and what have you done to them?
My aim would be in the region of 1050kg - 1150kg incl. a full tank of gas? Do you think that is possible?
Thanks a lot for your help

My MY99 Uk turbo is 1280Kg with a full tank of fuel and all other fluids full.
Thats with a few mods, like decat etc which will shed a few kg's but im sure 1100kg's with a full tank is possible with a fully stripped out UK car.

Could be tricky, cos if it's for racing then you'll have to add weight in some places, ie, roll cage etc, but then again, if it's purely for racing, then lightweight panels like dorrs bonnet boot etc will make a big difference, no trim, lightweight drivers seat...
I'd say you should be able to get at least near your target weight...
