Default advice please

Ive recently discovered excess oil in my front mount intercooler piping & to my horror discovered that its gone all the way rounnd into the dump valve & the throttle body. The car's running badly & all the spark plugs are a black mess.

I havnt over filled the oil

Any advise appreciated.

Simply convert your engine to a vented catch tank.
Loads have done it.

sounds like the oil seals in the turbo have gone

if you take the air in pipe off the turbo and find the shaft moves up and down then i think youll need to recon or replace the turbo

thanks for the info, its going back to api tomorrow forn them to have a look at. A few sources have said that it looks like a piston is failing & pressurising the sump with is causing the problems.

Lets hope not eh

David is a Good Guy and he will sort it.
I still think is is the oil mist from the engine getting into the inlet tract. My TMIC was regulatly wet with oil and i used to flush it out with petrol; so much came out it was untrue!
Since the mod? Nothing at all, not even in the collector tank of the breather mod. Nothing.

good luck,

Graham.

have now fitted a vented catch tank, altough oil still is coming out of the dumpvalve 50 miles later, may just be the remaining oil in the piping.

Clean every pipe out using brake/carb cleaner and dry well.
