100k+ Imprezas
What are the pro's & cons of high mileage imprezas. I'm looking at one at the moment with 125k on the clock, but it has a new engine recently fitted. To date it has main dealer service history. Can't be a bad buy surely???
Pro: Its performance wont be that disimilar to the same car with 1000k on the clock.
Pro: Its going to cost less.
Pro: You may be able to justify an engine rebuild with stronger internals (because of the saving you made buying high mileage)and then have fun modding the car to produce big power/torque.
Cons: You never know how the engine has been treated in the past and hence it may let go two weeks into ownership.
Cons: Old cars always need some kind of work but on the pro side here, it can be quite satisying bringing an old car back to mint condition
