Very simple answer to this is no, only the type RA/Spec C's and cars based upon these come with an engine oil cooler standard (its a little radiator on the front drivers side)

So with the oil cooling issues on the flat four and the power output on the V7 STI the chose not to put a oil cooler on!!! Unbelievable.

I'm not sure the UK Bugeye STi would need an oil cooler even with a PPP I run a MY02 bugeye with 350 plus BHP and no oil cooler.......

I bought one from JW racing but it is still in the garage as oil temps on the road don't go above 95 degrees C. Might be diffrerent in V Hot climates or on the track though.

I bought the oilcooler last year and can't remember how much it cost...a quick google would probably throw up a few suppliers with prices.

I'm going to show it to Alyn at AS performance in a couple of weeks time and ask him if it's worth it. I have read the instructions and it seems to get in the way of the bonnet catch which needs some "hacksaw" work

Let me know how you get on! Good bloke Alyn knows his stuff and won't sell you something you don't really need.

I had a look at the oil cooler in the garage tonight (still in the box) while putting out the rubbish.......looks like a well made bit of kit, and so it should be for £260 plus del plus VAT

I get my oil changed every 6mts so that would probably buy 5 years of oil !! the other problem is that during an oil change I guess the cooler would have to be dismantled to drain the (old) oil from it ?

I'll see what Alyn thinks
