Default Plugs Or Coil Packs?

I'm running a modded MY94 STi In which I haven't expeirienced any problems for a while until recently when driving the car under full boost It seems to missfire and pop. The car drives fine under normal driving conditions. Sometimes the Engine Check light comes on when the problem occurs. Would this more likely be a coil pack problem rather than faulty plugs? My local garage changed one of the coil packs a few months ago, so I'm assuming It's one of these. Anyone have any clues?

Check the plug gap , I set mine to 0.65mm . While you are doing that you can check the condition of the coils , look for cracks in the insulation around the rubber boot on the end .

Hi mate I had this happen on my 93 wrx and if you just change the plugs it should be fine and if not its only 20 quid or so.
Good Luck

Checked one of the plugs and gaps the other day and gave It a good clean, wasn't that much carbon on their really. I have NGK Greddy 8 T7340-8 In mine, plug gap was 0.30, can't seem to find a vendor for a replacement, do they make these anymore? Suppose It's just a trial and error job, If a plug replacement doesn't do the trick, I'll try buying a coil pack and see which cylinder the faulty part Is on.
