Want to de cat my sti 02 bug eye UK car. However I want to keep one of the cats as i dont want MOT probs.

Do i get rid of the center section one, or get the down pipe on the turbo one done - please help.

Also which air filter do I get.

I am thinking of doing the same (however I though the STI only had 1 cat?)
Any advice out there?

Its not a good idea to decat the new age STi's without remapping them as they have a tendancy to spike, which can lead to det, which isnt a good idea..... you may well be better off with a sports cat which will enable you to pass your mot and have the power gains you require, acutally supposedly better gains with the sports cat than with a full decat!!

Aha sounds like good stuff! Where can I get a nice sport cat from?
Presumably these will perform best with a remap as well?

I live a stones throw from PE so was considering going there (despite their prices) as they have always given me a good service before (back in the days of the good ol' RS turbo )
Their remap is £763 according to the website, I presume this is average price.
Would a remap be needed / beneficial if I fit a sports cat rather than decat downpipe?

Sorry for all the questions!!
