exhaust wrap

Default exhaust wrap

just bought a set of megan headers for my 2002 wrx was needing to get exhaust wrap for them could anyone tell me how mutch i would need and where to get it from cheers MOMO

i just go some from them for the 2nd time

30metres x 2 inch with 10 metal ties was about 55 quid iirc

nice one just had a look at the web site will 30 meters be enought to do the up-pipe aswell wot like a job is it to do cheers MOMO

Hi MO MO,

Just wrapped a set of Megans myself, I had 50' of 2" and it only got to the flexi joint, although I did have fair overlaps as I wound it on.

If you can clamp the pipes (I used Black & Decker workmate) then you can really pull it tight, then use a pin to hold the loose end whilst you get a tie on it.

If you try to wrap each pipe individually it will be a nighmare, I wrapped 2 together, and then the 4 together from around 3" before where they all join up.

Whole job took about 45 mins on my own.

I am impressed with the headers, and so is everyone who has seen them.

nice one the megans will be here tomorrow and hopefully the wrap aswell then i will give it a go cheers MOMO

do you have to spray the headers after wraping them with heat proof paint or anything or is the wrap fine by its self cheers mo mo
