STI 9 STEERING WHEEL.
#2
The steering wheel will fit....it even fits the classic, as far as i know......
It will require specialist knowledge to change over though, due to the airbags.....
Dealer would probably be best bet.....do you have the wheel yet ??

I've done quite a few of these swaps on newage cars.
To make the job much easier (avoids any rewiring) , make sure the loom with the yellow spinner is included.
Then its a simple DIY job, with an extra hole drilled in the plastic spinner mount to keep it on the steering column.
There's no need for any invlovement with garages or delearships at all.

For those who are after the fitting photos, I can't send anything out today as I'm working away.
The instructions I have given others are for fitting UK STi wheels to UK WRX cars.
Ray - I'm a bit curious about which wheel you already have as the only difference between UK STI 7 & 9 types is colour and very slight diff in style.
Both are 3 spoke, STi 7 is silver. STi 9 is black.
The important bit, the spinner & loom are the same on both UK cars.
JUst disconnect battery. Leave for 30 mins. Undo 2 torx bolts around bottom edge of wheel. pull away airbag and disconnect horn and locking airbag connector (raise centre catch 7 pull away). Undo centre nut holding wheel to column. Reverse to refit.
If fitting to a WRX then swap the WRX spinner loom with STi type. You'll need to drill an extra hole to spinner/column mount to make it hold firmly in place.
Hope this helps.
