CHECK ENGINE light
Hiya ppl....
On my last 2 journeys i have noticed that the check engine light has come on... have stopped, checked things and then restarted and no light.....
everything seems to be fine... only things i have noticed recently is car is peaking slightly lower than normal peak boost... (normally peaks at 1.47bar and now peaks at 1.40bar)..... some smoke when boosting (not blue) which i presume is just from a bit of overfuelling...
do u think i have anything to worry about??? i drove the car this morning a second time and the light did not come on!!!

It sounds like it could be the beginnig of a head gasket. Pressure is building up in the header tank and eventually it will end up blowing the tank (if plastic) or bursting a pipe and chucking out all coolant.
As a safety measure the engine will not boost up properly when the engine check light comes up.
Check under the car and have a look at the gaskets. Check for leaking oil from them etc.
Hopefully this is not the problem though.... just an idea...
