one of the coils is on the way out on the RA. i was wondering if there is any thing that you can test the coils with to determine which one is given up?

I would presume testing the resistances when cold AND hot would help.

 

my advice would be to remove them and look for cracks under the rubber bit
if you cant find the problem
and your car has over 50000 miles then replace the lot

i replaced one at a time only to find the others only a month behind.

car has just done 50k miles so coils will be ordered tomorrow
