I have done a diagnostic check and it flashed 21 times which I think is the temp sensor. Could someone tell me were it is and would it make the revs go up to 1500 then back to idle when warm.

edit to say: don't know if that is your problem though, it was faulty for me and caused poor starting after bin stood awhile like overnight.
