NF Booster: Change in formula/knock-on effect!
Over in Group Buys there is a thread about the above.
I bought a small stash of the stuff from Roger Clark's and have a mix of the original and the new thinner (and it sure is) formula.
Does anyone have any info about the two 'grades' and the effect on knock etc?
My engine is mapped for the 'Optimax/NF' formula and is raced very hard on full boost to the red line frequently.
Has anyone asked NF what the situation is, although they are hardly going to tell you it is inferior....
Has NF lost it's pole position, and if so is there a substitute?
Graham.

we made enquiries about this situation when the last batch was delivered...............it is exactly the same according to NF although they have had to change the name of the "magic ingredient" because of trade marks!!
the 'old' bottles also split fairly regular and have been sorted with a new bottle (the one with the bright yellow label), apperently the main reason for changing to highight the change.................
hope this helps, alyn

John, I'm coming to your way of thinking- straight Optimax.
Andy mapped the car for the Op/NF mix.
If remapped, what difference would I see approx?
More interested in Torque loss than power.

NF and/or methanol can give you a 10% gain in torque and power. But I'm more interested in reliability on my road car, ignition is nowhere near the edge and it is comedy quick already.
