Default HELP please !!

i took my 93 import wrx out for a little thrash last night and at about 6000 rpm it missed quite bad and the check engine light came on . i slowed down and limped home i had a quick look under the bonnet and nothing seemed wrong the engine sounded sweet and was ticking over well .i then revved it up and at 4.500 rpm it sounded like a rev limiter came in and wouldnt rev over that ...anyone got any ideas please ?? o and the car is standard too no mods

You need to read the fault codes to ascertain why the management light came on, and put the car into limp mode.

i have located the connectors i take it i connect the black ones up and the green ones up is it both at the same time then turn ignition on ? im sorry if i sound dumb but ive never messed with anything like this befor

Nope, ignition off... connect two black plugs together.... ignition on..

Connecting green plugs as well resets the ecu..

My guess is that your speedo cable has gone.. If the error code is the speed sensor 2 code gues i am right... if your speedo still works.. guess i am worng

your a wizard ....i changed the kph to mph and couldnt connect it up so left the speedo cable un plugged and took it out for a spin so it wasnt connected anyway do you think this could be the problem
