I am having a few problems experiencing a knocking noise coming from the rear of my04 sti. I have had it into the garage a few times and they say they can't find anything. They have replaced the strut mount washers with bigger ones and this seem to stop it for a couple of hundred miles. Now it's just getting worse and i think they are running out of ideas!
Has anyone else got or had this problem, if so could you let me know how you went about rectifying it cause now it's doing my head in, the noise is definately coming from around the wheel arches.

had the same prob on my 03STI. SGT changed both rear struts under warranty and haven't had any noise since. Check your struts; my new ones are stamped with both subaru and KYB. They are pink like the origionals. The dealer seemed aware of the problem as they only drove it round the block. Said they had already done several with the same knock.
