Default ECU Diagnostics

The 'check engine' light has come on whilst driving a couple of times, if you turn the engine off then on again, the light doesn't come back on.

Sometimes it also takes a few seconds to start and it looks like the 'check engine' light is flickering and there seems to be a clicking noise.

I thought i had better do an ECU test, these are the results i got:

45 - pressure sensor - pressure exchange solenoid valve
23 - mass air flow sensor
31 - throttle position sensor
32 - oxygen sensor

I have only just got the car so don't know if these are old problems which have been fixed without clearing the fault codes (is that possible?)

Should i reset the ECU and see what codes come back?

What are the symptoms of the above problems?

The car is a '94 uk turbo.

Thanks,
Mark.

i had the throttle position sensor one come up on my 98uk turbo, altho put the car on the rollers at power engineering and they sorted it out, sorted out the boost spiking too, so it just needed a tune up.
which also means i have a spare throttle position sensor floating round my bedroom too if anyones interested
