TEK3 with VF34 or 35 need boost controller?

TEK3 with VF34 or 35 need boost controller?
I know there is a similar thread on here, but I have had conflicting advice.
One view is that there is no point fitting a boost controller of any sort because all that is needed will be in the Tek3 map anyway (Kinda makes sense).
Another suggests there will be more gains, particularly if extra boost were required "in an emergency" with the fitting of a good boost controller eg Greedy or Apexi for instance, as well as the Tek3 .
This is for a MY00 Turbo with decat, panel filter, STI fuel pump and currently Tek2. I aim to fit either a VF34 or 35 before remap.
Any opinions welcome.
