Angry serious maf sensor problem HELP!!!!!

Hi guys,
i really need some help please or it looks like its time to change cars coz i`m getting fed up with wasting 80quid a shot on maf sensors, blew one again last saturday and again friday, could it be my hks super power flow thats fitted?also had the same prob with a k&n basically in the last year i`ve blown 6 or 7 now and i`m not getting any joy with my garage .......so guys please help me and put ya thinking caps on please. Any suggestions would be most helpful cheers. Its a my99

Have you got metal plate what sits below the plastic vent on the bonnet ie water good be getting on hks super powerflow.I have seen people remove this for better airflow i might be wrong .I have had 3 maf sensors go the first one the dealer broke the over 2 went to do with jr panel plus i may need an new one because engines not idleing proply .its geting a new icv my2000

Take of the HKS - you would filter the air better with a tea strainer!
