i have a 93 wrx. i have a middle de cat and a hks filter with a decent heat shield/cold feed. its also on its standard ecu but i use ob + optimax. whilst flooring it, its pulls through the gears well. ill bang her in 5th boot it and it pulls well again but if i back off the throttle (@ 5.500 rpm ish fully after wot) the car pulls even harder for a half a second or so THEN slows down? its hard to explain but im sure ppl wil understand. only seams to happen in 5th. wtf is happening? i dont have a boost guage to help. is it worth geting one?

also the car feels like it has the same/very similar power on wot as half throttle does!
