Hi there,

The glass on my drivers side has dropped into the door, I took the door card off and this was revealed...




after several hours messing around with the mechanism we've got nowhere & held the window up with some wood.

It looks like the motor gears are stripped as it doesn't move the big toothed arc thing.

Does anyone have any advice about this & how to get it working & what parts I need?

I've got a horrible feeling an expensive trip to the dealer is coming up..

Any help greatfully received

Hard to tell from the picture,but I would imagine there was a noise during operation for a little while before it happened.probably a clunk or clickety sound?

it seems like the 4 10m bolts that hold in the main
part of the mechanism must have been loose or worked themselves loose,hence why one of the holes in the door is bent.

If the teeth have sheared/stripped then you need another mechanism.

not sur about this car,but some makes do carry the same part for a 2door and 4 door.
(I have a s/h mech for a 4dr)

Yes it's a 2 door and the had been much clicking clunking & stuff.

Will try & source a new mechanism ASAP.
