Help.
Does anyone know a part number for a '96 RA V limited oil filter.
I have tried halfords and other motor factors but they give me one that does not fit??????

They are all the same for the impreza turbos. Do not skimp over a couple of quid, walk into your nearest dealer. And buy a sump washer too

As previously suggested get the original part about £4.50 from a dealer, they are a very small filter so don't be worried but make sure you fill it with oil before fitting, sorry if you already knew that. Oh yes don't forget to wash your hands after or you will get told off !!!!!

No probs, welcome to the board. Pre fill the filter before putting it on, it takes 15 mins to soak in, refill, soak in, refill etc too.....

If you want to start getting paranoid / **** about the correct oil change procedure, use the search.

...although you may wish that you hadn't!

Good point above. Halfords may have given you the correct filter, but recently the design changed so there are 2 sizes. the smaller size is the more recent. Both will fit though, but patent filters have a habit of leaking and not being up to the job. For the sake of a pint of beer, blah blahblah etc
