have just ordered an import spec-c and i was wondering what i should do about fuleing. i was wondering if i should get a re-map done as it will now be running on the crap uk fuel?

anyone got any ideas? and how mutch do you think it would cost?

I dont have any problem with the "crap" uk fuel, i do also run octane booster with the car so.... (plus a knocklink on my "C")
First thing you want to do is get insurance quotes, then have a laugh at what you get back, if your under 30 you may as well forget it, even over 30 (36) i was still getting 2k+ quotes in a quiet area (full ncb, no accidents and 3 points).
Remapping will increase your performance, so you will need to see if the insurance co your going with will accept this, any power increase above the stated 280ps will be classed as a modification and handled as such by the insurance co.
Insurance first before you even think about modifications, and really, you dont need to remap one of these cars, they are extremely quick in standard form

thanks m8 i was planning on getting a s.e.c.s monitor to keep an eye on things and i wont get a remap yet if you dont think its required to run on our fuel.

as for the insurance i am 26 and have a resonable quote!!
