Question Ecutec or new EQ? after 2.5 conversion

Can anyone please advise, I have just had my 2000 classic rebuilt after it went pop. rather than blow up another 2liter i brought a 2.5 with forged pistons from the states.I would be grateful if someone could please advise on either an aftermarket EQ or an Ecutec remap? at the moment i am running the engine in.so there is no great rush.Other mods are
APS top mount
Avo GT roller bearing turbo, GT25 equivilent i think?
550 injectors
2.5" decat
fuel pump/reg
K&N panel
PS I dont plan to run massive power at the moment as i have 0 budget for a new gearbox, at the moment. although i would like the flexibility in the future.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Ecutek or PowerFC would be good and similar price. You could have piston noise that the ECU will think is knock on Ecutek, but it could be worked around.

Beware that your 550cc injectors will overfuel your engine as your ECU is MAF based and this may reduce the change for a good ring seal whilst running in. This could cause oil consumption and less power potential.

Just hope your lambda sensor is working well as it has +-25% authority. Does it manage to run closed loop?
