Wonder if anyone can offer some advice?

Time for some new front pads shortly, seems people favor EBC Redstuff. What sort of life could I expect from these? Had 18k out of standard pads, how do these compare?

Also, if I were to fit these myself is the Scoob any different to other cars i terms of front pad fitting?
