Sticking clutch
Hi I have had my scooby v3 for about six months every now and then the clutch pedel would stick at about half way, but now it is doing it all the time, it only happens when I brake hard, I have read some other threads which mention ways to fix but has anyone had this only happen when braking why would this cause the problem,

Lots of us have been through this issue. (I have an Sti v3 too)
1
Ensure the clutch arm return spring is still on the arm and bell housing braket.
The long spring is 'feelable' under the intercooler. It is just above the bleed nipple.
Replace obviously if not there/disconnected.
2
If that is ok, check the pedal free travel is 10 mm max. If not adjust (under the dash) to suit. you will find it easy, very accessible.
3
If that fails we get deeper.
Remove the clutch pedal from under the dash and remove the 2 coil springs off the top of the assembly (watch out for flying springs)
Put it all back together. That should do it. The pedal top is less 'certain' and the weight about 10% harder, but you will get used to it.
If THAT lot fails then i have a demon tweek, but try the simple stuff first.
The issue is all about balance of position and springs.
Graham.
